VICTORIA HARRISON

The founder of Journeys, Victoria spends her time between Canada and Peru, overseeing the sales office in Canada, and the operations centre in Cusco. Victoria speaks English and Spanish and has more than 12 years experience in the tourism industry. She has travelled extensively throughout Canada, the USA, Australia and Europe before arriving to South America.

CHRISSY OHLINGER

Our USA sales representative, Chrissy lived and worked in Peru for 7 years and has just recently returned to Nevada. A mother of two, Chrissy divides her time between selling for Journeys and selling wind energy products. She speaks English and Spanish.

CARLOS AMES

Carlos was born in Huaraz, and while still in school started to explore and hike in the Cordillera Blanca; climbed several peaks: Chopicalqui(6350m), Ranrapalca(6154m), Artesonraju (6054m), and several times the highest peak, Huascaran(6768m). Carlos also worked as a river rafting guide, running rivers in Peru, Argentina and Chile. In 2001, he co-founded Action Travel SRL in Cusco, and Aventura Quechua SCRL in Huaraz in order to share all the destinations he has visited. He now divides his time between Peru and Ireland, where he spends his time specializing in sales. Carlos speaks Spanish, English and French.

ANGELINA LAISO-AMES

Co- founder of Action Travel SRL and Aventura Quechua SCRL. Born and bred in England, she has travelled extensively in Africa, Australia, Central America and Europe. She worked as a Tour Leader in South America, from Cartagena to Tierra del Fuego driving an Overland Truck for 18 months before setting up Action Travel in Peru. Angelina speaks English, Spanish and some French and now works and lives in Ireland..

FELICIANO ORE

Feliciano joined Aventura Quechua and Action Travel in 2000. Since then he has led most of our French groups in Peru. Feliciano is also the Cusco office Administrator. He loves archaeology and is an Inca specialist. Feliciano speaks Spanish, French and Quechua and is currently learning English.

JUAN BARRIOS

Our specialist in rafting expeditions and trekking. He has 20 years experience hiking and rafting in the Cusco area. Speaks English and Quechua.

JHON GRAJEDA

Jhon, responsible for our ground transportation in Cusco, he is an exellent driver, patient and cares about clientele.

VICTOR RAMOS

Our master cook, "the chef," on most of our expeditions. When he is not in the mountains, he is a handicraft artisan, working with stone just like the Incas. You can visit him in his kiosk in the artisan Market of Cusco.

MARIO RAMOS

Excellent cook, with an easy going personality and an easy smile.
When he is not hiking he works on his trout farm, cultivates potatoes and corn, and also breeds sheep.

LEONIDAS CRISPIN

Born and raised in Tinqui, the starting point for treks in the Cordillera Vilcanota and Ausangate regions. One of our most experienced horse drivers in the area.

DOMINGO SALLO

From Cuncani, a small Quechua village in the Urubamba range, he works with us as a horse and llama driver for all our trips to Lares. Domingo is also an excellent cook, he loves to prepare ‘’Cuy’’ - guinea pig, a traditional meal along the Andes.

DIOGENES ESCOBEDO (CHINGO)

Joined us as a cook in 2001, Chingo has participated in some of our climbing expeditions to the Cordilleras Vilcabamba and Vilcanota. When he is not in the mountains, he works in his fields in Ollantaytambo

ABEL COBOS

Responsible for our rafting and mountain biking trips. He lives in Ollantaytambo, close to the Vilcanota River for our rafting trips and also near the most popular mountain bike circuits.

PATRICIA AMES

The co-owner and manager of our Huaraz office, and a hard worker, she deals with all the demands of the climbers in the Cordillera Blanca and Huayhuash.

ROMMEL SOTO

Enthusiastic guide in the Cordillera Blanca and Huayhuash, he likes rafting and climbing as well, he speaks english and french.

ESTEBAN BACILIO

Born in Chiquian, he is responsible for the horse and donkey drivers in Huayhuash. No one else knows the cordillera like he does.

ALDO GUERRERO

Profesional mountain guide, born and raised in Huaraz, he knows very well Cordillera Blanca and Huayhuash, speaks german

The cook for most of our expeditions in the Huaraz area, quiet-spoken and very professional.

Our man in Arequipa. He handles all our groups in Arequipa and the Colca canyon. An enthusiastic and charming rafting guide and a fine kayaker as well. He also runs a hostal - Casa de Sillar, the perfect place to stay in the city.

Erin Moyano

Born in Chile, Atacama and Patagonia are worth visiting in his company. He is our tour leader for our trips there. He also guides some of our trips to Peru. Speaks French, English and Spanish
