A two week visit to some of the most interesting and important sites in Peru. This tour gives you a great view of the varied cities and areas in this amazing and beautiful country.
This tour ends with the classic tour to the incredible site of Machu Picchu before returning to the capital city of Lima.

Itinerary

Day One: ARRIVE LIMA

You arrive into the international airport in Lima and are met by your Tour Conductor. Your tour conductor will be traveling with you for your entire tour and will speak both English and Spanish. You are transferred from the airport to your hotel in Miraflores.

Day Two: LIMA

You have the day to enjoy Lima and the sites here. You have the morning to relax and after lunch you will be departing on your city tour which will take you through the central part of Lima with its historical sites, and back to the area of Miraflores. This tour takes about 4 to 5 hours and stops at several different museums and sites along the way.

Day Three: LIMA

You have a full day tour of the site of Pachacamac, which is an interesting site full of temples and the tour will give you a good idea of the Incan structures.

Day Four: LIMA TO AREQUIPA

You are transferred from the hotel in Miraflores to the airport. This morning you will be catching your flight to the city of Arequipa. Here you will be having a city tour, including the sites of the Cathedral, Santa Catalina Convent and the Museum Santuarios Andinos. If there is time you will also visit a colonial house near the centre of the city. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day Five: AREQUIPA

Today you will have a tour of the rest of the center of the city. You will have a chance to see several other churches, as well as many colonial houses and structures. You will also have a chance to visit some of the many antique shops in the area.

Day Six: AREQUIPA TO PUNO

You are transferred back to the airport for the flight to Juliaca. From Juliaca you will be catching your private transport to the city of Puno, located on Lake Titicaca. You will be stopping at Sillistani for a short tour before arriving to your hotel near the centre of the city.

Day Seven: LAKE TITICACA

Today you depart early from your hotel for your tour by boat on Lake Titicaca. This tour takes you to the floating reed islands of Uros, and the Island of Taquile. You return to the city and your hotel late in the afternoon.

Day Eight: PUNO TO CUSCO

This morning you depart on the tourist bus to Cusco. This comfortable bus stops at the sites of Pukara, La Raya, Raqchi and Andahuaylillas along the way, as well as for a buffet lunch (included) in the town of Sicuani. You arrive into Cusco, the Imperial City of the Incas, at about 5 pm and are transferred to your hotel near the centre of the city.

Day Nine: CUSCO

You have an acclimatization day today. Cusco is located at an altitude of 3300 masl and most tourists need the first day to get used to the altitude.
After breakfast you will be taken on a short city tour, including the Cathedral, Qoricancha (The Sun Temple) and the Inca Museum.After lunch, you will departing in your private transport to the four ruins located above Cusco – Sacsayhuaman, Qenko, Tambo Machay and Puka Pukara. You will return to your hotel by about 5 pm and have the evening to relax ACCOM – Hotel / Meals – B

Day Ten: CUSCO TO THE SACRED VALLEY

You depart the city of Cusco in your private transport, on the way stopping to visit the site of an Alpaca and Vicuna farm to learn a little about these animals before continuing on to the town of Pisaq. You will have the rest of the morning to wander through the local market. After an early lunch at a local restaurant, you will be taking your private transport to the unique agricultural ruins of Moray and the still working salt mines of Maras. You will stay the night in one of the towns in the Sacred Valley.

Day Eleven: SACRED VALLEY TO AGUAS CALIENTES

This morning you will be transferred to the town of Ollantaytambo, which is built upon the original Inca town, and have a tour of the impressive ruins located there. Later today you will be catching the Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes where you will be spending then night. You will have time there to enjoy the local hot springs or just wander around the town..

Day Twelve: AGUAS CALIENTES CUSCO

You leave the town of Aguas Calientes very early in the morning to catch the bus up to the magnificent ruins of Machu Picchu. You will have a two hour tour before spending some time on your own to soak up the energy here.
This afternoon you descend by bus again to Aguas Calientes where you will be catching your return train to Ollantaytambo. Your private transport will be waiting there to bring you back to your hotel in Cusco.

A free day in this wonderful city to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

Day Fourteen: CUSCO TO LIMA

You will be transferred from your hotel in Cusco to the airport for your return flight to Lima. Depending on your international flight time, we can arrange for a city tour of Lima or an extra night in a hotel.
