CUSCO
BDCUZ
This short tour gives you the best of Cusco and the surrounding
area. It includes a tour of the historical sites in the city of
Cusco; the ruins in the Sacred Valley; and, of course, one day
at the famous site of Machu Picchu.
Itinerary
Day One: ARRIVE CUSCO
Upon arrival to Cusco you will be transferred to your hotel. This
will give you the opportunity to acclimatize a bit before setting
out to see the city. This afternoon you will have a 4 hour tour
of the sites in Cusco including the San Blas area, Koricancha, Sacsayhuaman,
Qenko, Puca Pucara and Tambo Machay.
Day Two: CUSCO - SACRED VALLEY - CUSCO
This morning you will leave early for the Sacred Valley, to spend a
full day visiting the ruins there. You will have a chance to see
the ruins and artisan market at Pisaq, the salt flats of Moras and
the Inca fortress at Ollantaytambo.
Day Three: CUSCO - MACHU PICCHU
You depart early on the backpacker train for the town of Aguas Calientes,
located in the Valley below the famous ruins of Machu Picchu. From
the town you catch the bus up to the ruins where you will have a
guided tour. After some free time in the ruins to explore on your
own, you return by bus to Aguas Calientes to catch your train back
to Cusco.
Day Four: CUSCO - OUT
Today you depart Cusco. Transfer from your hotel.
