The National Park of Manu, well-known for its biological diversity, also offers adventure possibilities - it is a place where time stands still. On this ride, we will have the opportunity to appreciate the wonderful landscape of the Paucartambo Valley. We would like to highlight that along the journey the participants have a support bus permanently. If a cyclist feels unable to continue at any given point, they can board the vehicle until able to continue riding. For this circuit is not necessary to have experience.

Itinerary

DAY 1 CUSCO - TRES CRUCES

Early departure from Cusco in a private bus to the community of Huancarani, where we begin the ride. We ride about 8km to the "chullpas" of Ninamarca, where we eat lunch. Then we continue towards Paucartambo (15 km). From there, we take our bus for a transfer to the camp at the Tres Cruces lookout point - the boundary between the mountains and the rain forest.

DAY 2 TRES CRUCES - CLOUD FOREST

This place is famous for the sunrises, so jump out of the tent and enjoy it. Afterwards, you can warm up with a good hot coffee. We continue the ride along the edge of the forest in a humid climate. Here there are a diversity of birds including the Cock-of-the-Rock (national bird of Peru). We may even spot Spectacled Bears and Choro Monkeys. We reach camp in about 2 hours.

DAY 3 CLOUD FOREST - ATALAYA

We ride again... Our landscape today is mainly low forest and we have many chances to appreciate and enjoy nature. In about 3 hours we reach the Pilcopata Camp in Atalaya. (50 - 60 km)

DAY 4 ATALAYA - PAUCARTAMBO - CUSCO

Today we take our bus to the Ahanaco Pass from where we descend on our bikes to Paucartambo. Then we board the bus again to return to Cuzco.
